Driving into work this morning in my '74 AMC Javelin .. came up behind one of those small "tradie" trucks. Following him at 100km/h for awhile (I had no intention on overtaking 'cos he was doing the speed limit and we were about to come to a 60km/h zone. Suddenly I see "something" fly out from under the truck (no brakes, no swerving, etc) and I realise it's a dead roo. I braked, I swerved, but I still hit it on the passenger side. Bloody and guts throw all over the car to the point it's hard to see ...
I pulled into a carwash to wash of what I could and inspect the damage. Broken front spoiler, dented front valence panel .. and a a lot of blood and guts. Noticed when I got to work that there was still some under the back (fueltank, diff, exhaust) I hadn't washed off .. which will be nice in a few hours. |

Actually I'm glad I never finished painting this car .. I've had that many "incidents" with it that I couldn't be bothered continually fixing it up. As flat black it just looks like cr@p anyway .. |

that is bad luck, or good luck it was`nt worse i guess, depending how you look at it, they are unpredictable buggers, our local council in their wisdom has made a vacant paddock in the northern reservoir area a nature reserve thing, i don`t think they intended kanga`s to be there but..... there is usually 3 or 4 roo`s floating around, of which one i had to brake in a hurry for a while ago, one of my mates does the lancefield to heidelberg run daily, he has those , i forget what you call them, like a little whistle thing mounted on the front of bumper of his car, er 2 actually , he swears by them., hopefully your pride and joy will be an easy repairer, good luck on that.
