I expect a G8E to be around $65k..same as a Calais V, which is also on my radar...But the chances of a G8E are slim..FORD don't see a market for luxo V8's and I don't want an FPV!!!

I wonder if the boys in Dearborn are happy their collegues in Campbellfield/Geelong do it better for less....one day they just might realise "Made by Ford" rather then "Made by Ford USA" isn't such a bad thing.

Well, i expect EPAS to be fitted to Ecoboost and the XR8/G8E when they are released. The new ECU was required by the Coyote to allow all 4 cam phasors to operate independently. The Territory has that ECU which also allows the tech upgrades. FG2 will get that ECU and new wiring loom.

PS It is FANTASTIC to see Nexteer investing large sums in a manufacturing plant in Australia to service local producers and also for export. Thanks!

I thought it was assisted, but whatever the case, I absolutely love it. I can't believe how well it works, light but not even close to dangerous like some cars with light steering and I can feel absolutely everything through the wheel, still very much connected to the road.

I didn't think the WS had this but if it does, all the better for all the WS owners.

They won't just fit it to selected models, if they are going to fit EPAS it will have to be across the range, way too much effort engineering the front end to take both setups. So much easier just having the one type.

And there's still no confirmation that the new ECU can run the 4 cam phasers yet.

FGII won't have EPAS. Unsure about the ecoboost though.

Certainly disappointing about the EPAS. This could have brought some fuel economy benefits for the I6.

Didn't an article recently state that the Xr8/GE8 is a long long way away.
