hello everyone. I kno this is unlikely but im going to try my luck. I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in swapping me a AU XR6 for my ba XR6 with cash adjustment either way. first up. no there is nothing wrong with my ba it's in really quite good nick, its tastefully and only lightly modified with quite low k's for its age (2003). it's black, manual, twin 2.25inch exhaust, 100cell cat, underdrive, cai and K&n pod. goes very well and sounds GREAT! however.... I simply honestly regret getting rid of my au xr6. and I want another one. I am picky and its gota be a series 3 and i'd really prefer a manual, and hopefully fairly good k's. I've looked on car sales and nothing takes my fancy. I want a black one or blue print. would prefer closer to standard but minor mods like wheels, exhaust is fine. if anyone's interested PLEASE let me kno.

lol I had one, but it had the tickford body kit with the bi plane spoiler and the 17inch tickford alloys lol

i sold it because of the high k's the auto was starting to let go. and the ba that I bought I honestly did get it for a bargin. but I wish that I just had of spend the money re vamping the au....

How much cash adjustment are we talking? For instance what would you expect if selling privately?

I'd expect probly 12.5k to 13k probly closer to 12.5 obviously. as said the car is in great nick and Im only the second owner and the people who owned it before me were a senior couple. if it was in tassie it would have to tick ALL the boxes lol.

Unfortunately I highly doubt I would be able to make up the change over price and I wouldn't be able to come to Qld. So I would guess that would mean you would really really have to want it lol. I'll give you the run down anyway;
169ks (all country highway driving from previous owner at 160km a day) I am the third owner. TE50 spoiler, skirts and rear bodykit (makes it look very nice) Original Tickford 5 spoke 17" rims Manual Momo steering wheel and gear knob Non VCT Tinted Windows Exhaust is new (muffler and pipe) SS induction kit Car Bra Heaps of spares (taken from another S3 that a friend was wrecking) There are a few issues, side skirts need respraying (wear from road water etc,), rear bumper needs very small small patches (from scraping on previous owner's driveway *sigh*) and spraying, a scratch on rear left door (from someone's bag or something), and a small dent (not really noticeable) rear right door (from car door I'd say. No paint at all was taken off). Rest of the paint work car is mirror shine. Front bumper recently resprayed. I could post photos however I'm pretty sure it's probably missing a few of the tick boxes lol. What do you prefer about the AU to the BA?

yea Im sorry mate, if I was going to travel to tasmania it would have to be perfect. I miss the charcter that my au used to have. the ba's feel generic and bland. where as my au was just full of personality, I loved that car and I regret not fixing it or getting another one.

Oh well lol, You might entice a few to come out of the woodwork if you post some photos of yours?
PS quoted repair for bodywork was $900 just haven't gotten around to it yet. What sort of change over would you be expecting?

well it depends on the wat the au is like. usually they go for around 8-9 with the really good ones fetching 10. so I'd probly just want to bridge the gap to about 12ish
|
