Just a quickie, whenever i brake hard in my 2000 Fairmont ghia, my front driver side wheel locks up/ABS operates, way before any others, EVERY single time! I would have thought that all wheels would lock up at about the same time, as they pretty much have in all the other falcons i've owned. Anyone here have/had similar issues? Any ideas on what the problem could be???

Obvious things first, when's the last time the brake fluid was flushed?
That wheel's got the shortest line so will lock up first if the fluid's old. Not an expert on ABS, so I couldn't tell you if the unit was causing it, but from what i do know, it's unlikely since the ABS is detecting a skid and operating.

Fluid has been flushed less than 12 months ago, and also around three years ago.

Hmm OK then.
As a general mechanic, my next step would be to pull the caliper and see if the slides were jammed. Failing that, I'd be recommending an ABS specialist or a master cylinder rebuild.
