I've done everything I can think of, achieved nothing.

I hounded the ISP, connected the modem to the MDF (bypassing any internal wiring), bypassed my network, upgraded hardware.

My modem(s) consistently reports line speeds around 10000 (see attached). Noise margin can go down to 11.2 db. Last time I paid attention, it was averaging 11.5 db

I had a 10 pair cable run in conduit to the pit about 8 years ago.

At one point a Telstra linesman identified a problem "in the field", the connection was worse after he fixed it... since rectified.

Without changing providers, I don't know what else to try. I've been told with my current speed, it's pointless to pay a Telsta linesman to test from the MDF.

As for Speedtest, it does vary wildy... eg it's reported up to 120 Mb/s on this computer, never worked out why.

why is mine rediculously slow , compared to everyone elses . i'm paying for 1500 , and getting 256kb speed , av about 35kb /sec
i dont get it . mine is like dinasour speed at around $105p/mth inc home phone
WTF . is aapt out of league 10 fold compared to everyone else .
i seem to be using V8 FUEL with lawnmower power .

you have to be on a rim, as that's pretty terrible for ADSL2+

it's actually terrible for adsl1 as well

54Mbps is the speed of the adapter, not the internet connection.

getting 30megabit downlink/uplink at school, its a fancy wireless connection to eureka tower, seems to handle 1400 users pretty well...
