i replaced the brake switch 2 weeks ago all great but as of now the brake lights wont go off when the cars running some said could be the relay but wheres that
|

Did you use a Ford Motorcraft one or the cheapos from Supercheap? The cheapies are notorious for giving up the ghost much more quickly than the genuine Ford ones, and even they are crap.

Hi. No adjustment but just unplug it and see if the lights go out and if they do take the switch back and get another. Cheers MD

yes was from supacheep autos but it works i have the el my son has the ef tried it in the el ok put it back in the ef lights stay on

yes the lights go out when its unpluged thanks will go get another cheepy see if that work

the switch shorts out due to bad insulation of the switch and bad design
i have spoke to tridon and they try to blame the car

I had a Au come in the other day with the brake lights staying on turned out that the owner changed the switch and didnt put the bushes back in properly.
