Hey guys, just lookin' for some info on the headlight loom. I have a xr6 front end on my forte, the high beam and parkers connection doesn't match up but the headlights and indicators do so I haven't bothered doing anything about it.
What's involved? Do I need an xr6 loom, or are there adapters available? |

the bulbs are different and i reckon the way the loom fits into the back of the light would be slightly different too. you can probably modify it by just using a holder that suits the XR globes as opposed to the normal ones.

You can swap the spade terminals around in the connector itself.
Just slide a small screwdriver down beside the spade and release the tags that hold it in place. I ended up making a loom with heavier cable for mine, using the original connectors (I've got 100/70w + 150w for high beams and dedicated hi-beam relay, each side). |

Take the spade connectors out of the plastic holder (the black squarer shaped one), and plug the black wire into the outside spade connector on the bulb, and the green/orange wire goes to the middle spade connector. You will have to splice the parker wiring into the parker wiring for the car (been there, done that). Not only is there as difference between XR and Forte, there is a difference between AU1 and AU2 as well........
