Actually, as part of your rego (at least in Victoria), you pay a compulsary third party amount.

What company did you go with?

I had to go through just car insurance for all my policies for cars because no one else would cover me. My last car BA GT-P was $2800 a year, the new '11 GT is $1100 for full cover $74000, the only reason I stay with them is my partner is still under 25 so no one else will look at us as soon as she turns 25 I'll be shopping around or putting it in with the house and contents insurer (GIO).

Fairly sure SA doesn't have restrictions either?

Wouldn't have a clue, I'm in Victoria so even talking about restrictions is restricted here.

I apologize for advertising but!

I'm with CUNA Mutual. I sell CUNA as part of my job at a Credit Union. I'd be happy to do quotes for people if they'd be interested? It'd be a big help to me haha.

I got a few suggestions first of all i will never go through just car insurance again i have compared all my previous cars with them and they just seem to charge a hell of allot more then other insurance company's at one stage they wanted to charge over $3,500 for a MK3 Toyota supra...i go through always NRMA for Queensland i paid $120 a month for full comprehensive and to the agreed value of $17,000 for a 04 Mitsubishi Magna VRX, now im looking for another insurance company that will do a agreed custom value for my Falcon when im back on the road in 3 months not asking for much just something over the maximum, $3 - 4 thousand from most insurance company's

insurance you pay for with your rego only covers other PEOPLE. not cars, fences or anything else you run into. You should at least buy 3rd property insurance, which covers you against the cost of anything you crash into, but doesn't cover your own car.

How does that work?
Shannons always goes "ALL drivers on this policy must be 25 or OVER for this car to be insured by us."
So how did you cheat their system?!?!

When I was 22 (off my P's) I payed $1700 for insurance for my fully loaded AUII XR6 HP. $1100 is not unreasonable.
