lots of pictures of cars with number plates on the web and in magazines, big woop!

Can you drive a car in public with your plates covered?

Not many XB Ex racers around, I'd put the sign writing back on if it were me.

i think the opposite is true. there is more chance of someone getting your details from the net, than from someone getting lucky and seeing you around your local neighbourhood and following you home

either way, it doesn't matter - covering the plates of others cars is just showing some respect. it doesn't matter if most do not care if their plates are shown - some do not want them shown, but because the vast majority of the world do not care about anyone but themselves, they refuse to delete them

Somehow I don't think that the owner has a problem with the number plate thing. If he did, he wouldn't take it to a car show like the Hardtop Anniversary at Echuca, which is open to all the public on Sunday!
There is currently a picture of it from Echuca in the latest Street Machine magazine and it was seen on Classic Restos 2 weeks ago.

I'm with you - I'd be stickering it up the same as the No 4 car.

most don't care, but it would be nice if people would blank them out, because some do like theirs shown

it is much harder to get addresses from rego plates nowadays, but it doesn't take much to delete the plates to make it that little bit harder

personally, i like it how it is. by keeping the race paintwork only, i think it stands out in a classy way. the stickers are good, but could be considered tacky, particularly because the mechanicals and interior no longer resemble the original
