I have been to Trapster site and Googled for info if and how much does Trapster use of the phones data allowance.? All I can find is vague answers..Anyone use Trapster ? and if so how much data does it use. I have 1.5gb allowance.I am driving to Rockhampton on the weekend and will have it on for about 8 hours. I know Google Maps gobbles data and battery life..Cheers, Merry Christmas.

It depends - it's downloading map information depending on how far you drive and how often you use it.
How long is a piece of string? Reset the stats on your phone, go for a drive, see how much data was polled during that period of time. |

My Navman got a massive update done two weeks ago that shows all fixed speed cameras and speed checks for the country. Just the pesky mobile ones I don't. As raptor said, let us know how it goes.

Trapster is the biggest waste of time. It basically tells you where a speed camera may be. I seen the app. In the 20 minute drive me and a friend did, it said there was about 30 locations where a speed camera was. We did not even see 1 camera.

Trapster shows you known enforcement points, which never expire and live cameras which expires after a few hours after being added. I rarely use it, but when I have used it, it has worked reasonably well.
