Default Window tinting Melbourne Advice please

I've got a XR6 in Sensation (Blue Boy to my three year old daughter), I want to get the windows tinted and I work in Dandenong South and live in West Footscray. I know a bloke on Blackrock who can do it, but it's going to be a lot of stuffing around to get it done there.

Any one suggest a place in Dandenong, and what I should be looking for? I would like it to be dark, as it sits outside at work. I would probably drop it off in the morning and pick it up that afternoon.

Thanks in advance.

I can tell you who not to use out that way. Tint professor. The sales dude on the phone tried to make me get limo tint even though I wanted to stay legal. Wasn't till I said I'd go elsewhere that he shut up. Then they picked up my car and left the loan car but no keys leaving me stranded all day. Then the 2-3hr job turned into a full day. Then I get my car back and they haven't cleaned the windows before applying the tint.

Is that the tint on the Fairlane? There are no photos on their website.

And then I read the rest of your signature. I am hopeless.

Looks good. I'll call them tomorrow.

make sure it is 35%, sept last year vic roadworthy laws changed and inspectors are required to test tint (a device that is placed on each side of the glass using a lazer to read the tint, must read 35% or higher) note police use this device.

what I have found is some tinters will fit 35% tint to glass that has already slight tint from factory thus taking it under

Twilight Auto Tint in Ringwood are very reliable, they do all of the local Mazda and Ford dealer's new car tints too !

The laws have been 35% here for awhile, if police have those testers I have never seen one.

Correct - when Twilight tinted my Sportwagon they used the light meter to check my windows, and because the front door windows have thicker glass than the rears, they had to adjust the % of the tint so it didn't tip under the legal limit for light transfer.

I sent Premier Tint and email last week and they haven't got back to me.

I might give them a call if they don't.

Have you used them?
