Looks like the engine is a Mazda B3 used across alot of different cars so just google mods for that.

I'd prob just suggest your typical induction and exhaust mods, but there's not much u can do with a 1.3l NA motor.

Then there's this

I've heard of a few people doing B6 & BP engine conversions.

Do a quick google and you'll find a few conversion threads.

I recon a BP-T conversion in one would be awesome

Haha I have the same issue with iPhone! Grr.

It looks like I'll stay with the intake for now :P. All the effort for a turbo.. Would be incredibly rare and surprising at the lights! Haha but the work involved.. Wow.. Ahwell. 1.3L of fun is enough for the little beast I think!!

you could always do a little more if you wanted to,

uni chip ECU it,
extractors,
cams if available,
PnP head,
larger valves,
larger injectors.

Good tune.

i know they also had the 1.5 which had an extra 8-9kw and 15nm or something around that. doesnt sound much but it's more than 10% power over the 1.3ltr. prob a bit of work though

Its an American Ford Aspire (WB Festiva onwards) forum with a few aussie users, they've got these things completely ironed out.

Last model run of the 1.5's was rated at 57kw. Having said that, there was a batch (early in the final shape, around 1998 I think) that had a 66kw (DOHC???) mill.

Why the engine downgrade in the final model? Have no idea.
