You guys are talking about 3 different Cars
A. 2000 - 2011 Ford Escape B. 2012 Ford Kuga C. 2013 Ford Escape/Kuga Greens Keeper is comparing A and B B is not a new model, just "New" to Australia and will be replaced next year Its only being sold in a high spec model and not expected to be a volume seller, just introducing the "Kuga" name into australia ahead of the new model

I honestly dont see why greenkeeper is comparing the 2. the old ford escape could almost wear a Greatwall badge... The Kuga will pretty much be Mondeo XR5 Turbo specs...

look, once again, i've driven the new Kuga a few weeks ago in Malaysia, it was there being used as an evaluation vehicle, it's the same as the one due any day now in Australia, the current Escape stocks will be sold alongside it until all are gone; the Escape sold in USA is similar to ours only having different power trains, i have driven these in Bahrain in the course of my work in the oil industry

just one more note, personal observation, the new Kuga to Australia looks like a really big Ford Focus with all terrain features
