The battery was replaced on my WS Fiesta CL last week and ever since then the driver's window will no longer close automatically with one click of the switch. Does anyone know how this setting can be set, or does it require me visiting a dealer? - which I really do not want to do as I have a dislike of all things dealer....
Thanks for the help! |

Try pulling the driver window switch up and holding it for 10 seconds or until you hear a click.
This should reset the window and usually fixes it. |

Yep Caydus, that did it. Thank you so much!
Anymore useful tips like that, that you know of to unlock these little secrets? Like can my car lock itself when I start driving? |

Take your car remote and press the door unlock and lock buttons simultaneously for at least 4 seconds with the ignition off. The direction indicators will flash twice to indicate that the unlocking function has been successfully re-programmed. Pressing and holding both buttons simultaneously for at least four seconds again will change the function back. |

I tried this and it only half worked. One click opens ONLY the driver door (good) but subsequent clicks did not open the remainder of the locks, it just kept on unlocking the driver side.

we have same problem with the window. The driver window switch has two positions, when you pull it up the window starts going up, if you pull further you will feel a click. At this point you should be able to let go and the window rolls up all the way. However, this is not the case, I have to hold the switch up all the way until the window gets to top. How do I get it to go all the way up on its own if I pull the switch past the "click" ?
thanks |

In short, close the window normally and once fully closed hold the switch for more than a second, release and repeat two or three times (again held up for more than one second). It then says if it doesn't work keep trying, so not sure how precise the whole procedure is. Hope that helps, Moorie. |

The technique as described by Caydus worked a treat for me, but mine is a WS, so not sure if the WT is different.
The setting for the key to only unlock the drivers door worked for me too. if I press the button twice, all the doors open. Thanks ellwa! |
