You have to ask who puts those expectations on the badge?
Who really should have a say in what gets tagged a GTHO, Ford fans at large? or perhaps it falls to the people ready to shell out say, $100K to FPV? For me, it's a shame that Ford didn't continue with a GTHO of some sort from EB times, that way we wouldn't have these regular and quite vitriolic threads that add nothing. GTHO is a monkey on Ford's back.... |

-As I said, the EB SS is what many describe the GTHO as being. -What if ford wanted to make a small run of ecoboost falcons available for the Production car champion ship...say a EB 4 with GT brakes and suspention...bucket of worms... -But, if FPV/Ford did one, it would be above the GT, have more power and a slight visual change...and there would be nothing stopping a person using one in the Production car championship or Bathurst 12 hr...

i feel that if ford and fpv could again setup a good factory upgrades arm like in america they could then take the chance at a road race spec GTHO. The cars r that good today in GT335 form all theyd have to do is what the tuners do and supply...tunes brakes tyres suspension stickers and my personel fav...pumped gaurds and revised body kit
its the only way i can see ford being able to sell a street driven car and answer the questions and doubts of oldschool loftiness....with UPGRADES FROM FORD THEMSELVES..so its legit then. but still at a goood cheap obtainable level for the masses...can only dream |
