Default Video conversion

Hi there, I'm just putting this out there.I'm interested in your Fg-Video conversion,ie: having your phones GPS coming up on the
colour screen, now i don't have a iphone, but have a android galaxy, would this work?.I have a Av cable jack similar to "earphone" jack, for my phone but not sure on input on your conversion is?.Next question I have a old navman, small screen, still works fine but I really hate putting on my screen for the world to see,( need to take off when shopping or parking )I was wondering, the Navman has a micro usb connector could this hook up to the video conversion kit to show up on the 7in colour screen.I know it defeats the purpose and the navman needs to be near the screen to get the signal, but I can put it in the tissue box slot and i can still get reception.Like i said just putting it out there.I like to have your GPS but $1k, is a bit dear even though it's intergrated in the screen.Cheers.

Hi Stevieb,

Our kit will only display a NTSC image from a composite RCA source. In other words the yellow cable that plugs into your TV. You will have to do the homework to see if your items are capable this composite signal in NTSC. ALso if you want the GPS to show up on from your iPhone you need to jailbreak you iPhone for this to happen. Apple locks out most apps.

Cheers

Thanks for that,I'm not far from your business best bet would be to bring my AV cable for my Android phone,(which has the earphone jack to plug into phone and the other end I have the yellow red,and white RCA's plugs to plug into your input for the Video conversion unit,to see if it works, as far as NTSC display coming out of my phone,I gather this information is in the phone itself and I will find out whether or not it works once it's tried.I know everything is for the " iPhone " but not everyone uses a iPhone. So it will be of most interest to all on this site to see if a "Android" phone does work.Much the same as a laptop being hooked up to your conversion unit.

Hi there, looks like this Video conversion kit for the FG colour screen,is really only suitable for the iPhone and also being NTSC and not Pal,(Pal is for the Australian region) so sadly it will not work for my Android phone.Would you be inproving your Video conversion unit in the future to have USB and HDMI inputs and PAL,settings so other applications can be used on both the 7 & 8 inch colour screens.

All development of this conversion kit is completed so no we will not be adding HDMI and Pal. I am not familiar with the Android phone but I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab which is a android system and this can be set to NTSC and a video out cable bought for $15 off ebay.

Cheers

Thanks for that,my Android phone has TV out, either PAL or NTSC,I suppose I was looking to use the more modern HDMI or USB lead, rather than the old fashion RCA plugs for the input connection to your video conversion, but either way sounds like a worthwhile addition, thanks.

Even if it did HDMI you would hardly see any benefit on either a 6 or 7 inch screen. When talking about a 50 inch screen then yes for sure.

Cheers
