First of all thanks to admins for letting me in to the forum
 My name is Mark, I come from Manchester in the UK but work for a German company in Poland  I have ordered a 3,2L Auto Wildtrak and wanted to hear what you gents have to say. Here in Europe nobody knows anything really only what Ford has on there sites. I heard the are all limited to 175 km/h which for 179 of the 180 countries that Ford want to sell it in (Germany has no limit) is fine but is it true? all the best Mark |

welcome Mark, your asking if the wild track is speed limited to 175 kph? i`ll let someone else answer that one(i would`nt have a clue).

I have to ask.... This is basically a 4x4 Ute with high ground ground clearance and high centre of gravity.
Why on earth would you want to go faster than 175 ?

Welcome Mark,
I'm wondering what every one else is, unless you plan on turning your 4x4 into a drag or race car, why would you need to go faster than 175kph? I don't think that any one here is going to endorse going that fast on the streets, let alone in a 4x4... Although then again, a 4x4 with a jet engine on the back would win me over

Okay I take your point about it not being a race car, but it is not uncommon for VW Multivans to be doing nearly 200 km/h. Cruising speed in my Mondeo was 130 km/h V-Max 205. How fast can you gents drive on the Highways? In Poland its 140 but nearly everybody drives 130. it makes it easier if you can go with the flow. Why buy a pick up the plan was to put my Renegade in the back, but by the time I had figured out it wont fit the missus had fallen in love with it.

a canadian on holidays here described us as "car whipped", probably pretty apt description really , for most of the country the highway speed limit vary`s between 100 and 110 kph, we did have some unlimited speed out back road but the greenie do gooders have put an end to that, still a bit of 130 k left but that`s about it.

The short answer is yes they are speed limited (here at least) but it is configurable with WDS/IDS.
