Does anyone know where I can find a cosworth 5 speed box to suit a Duratec motor? I have a mate chasing one for his Mk 2 Escort.

The (YB) cosworths used a T5 gearbox. As far as I know no one makes a bellhousing to suit the duratec as this is a Mazda based motor. There is a guy in Sth Australia who does Duratec conversion parts for the Escort. These includes a bellhousing for using an RX7 gearbox.

I am waiting on a shipment of type 9 5 speed boxes, which are close ratio helical cut gearsets. 2.48 1st gear, 0.87 5th. Will take your Duratec power and revs.
http://classicescortparts.com.au/ind...category_id=28 These are top quality boxes and are fully rebuilt. Hope to have them here around late April.
