Default What courier company should I use....

G'day,

I'm looking at sending some items interstate, mainly wheels/bumper bars etc.

What are some reputable courier companies that have been good in your experience and don't charge an arm and a leg to send these heavier, bulkier items?

Look forward to hearing your stories.

Cheers

I have used both of those (E-go and Smartsend) quite a few times and have never had a problem. Very reasonably priced in my opinion with online quoting as well. E-go charge more for insurance so if the quotes are similar and you need insurance, I would go with Smartsend.

I've used Pack & Send before, really happy with the easy process.

DO NOT use Allied Express.

i used e-go to deliver a motor to me in geelong from newcastle. Was told 5-7 days and it took nearly 3 weeks. When i got the motor home and unwrapped the timing gear had been broken off the front by a forklift hitting it too hard. There cheap but you get what you pay for so be wary. Fastway can be well priced and never had any dramas with them

I use couriers and freight companies on a daily basis. In my experience, they are all crap, some less crap than others, some way more. I have stuck with the less crap ones because with them, I know I'll get the goods there and back undamaged.

To that end, I use Toll and AAE mostly. I won't go near StarTrack (although they have been bought out).

Try interparcel.com.au - they're an on-line freight broker/agent and you can get quotes for the TNT, AAE etc. I use them all the time, and have just started using e-go as well (but as said, e-go insurance is about double - just get the total of quote and insurance and see what's best. TNT is $22 incl GST for $1000 cover, e-go is $44).

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I ended up using e-go, $70 to send a set of wheels from Sydney to Perth. Got there within 6 days too.

Pretty happy with how it went overall.
