we could even do carbon inserts in the rear bar and side skirts :Reverend:

yes james, have finished moulding the rear bar, just need to do a few trial fitments, and are bracing up the side skirts for moulding atm.

You could get away with a fibreglass bonnet, but the side skirts and bumpers, specially the front.. would not handle too many bumps. The mounting points on fibreglass bumpers tend to crack and break easily, more so on very low cars with stiff suspension.
another interesting post...quality and longevity? you should see the genuine rebel side skirts were having to try and pull back into shape so we can mould them!

in no way am i saying that fibreglass is superior to plastic and plastic can certainly take more of a beating but you will find longevity wise fibreglass definately wins the race and plastic will slowly lose its shape. And then theres the price issue - you could buy 3 XR50 bars for the price of 1 genuine xr front...

Daimmit, you have me thinking now! :

XR Front + Lip + T3 Rear + T3 Sides

or

XR Front + Lip + Rebel Rear + Rebel Sides

or

XR50 Front + T3 Rear + T3 Sides

I think I'm liking the top one at the moment. Time will tell.

i like option 3 LG!
i like the rear/ sides of the rebel.. the front looks like a squashed frog!!

i reckon normal XR fronts just arnt BOLD enough!
To me it seems as though they are missing a fair bit of plastic on the lower lip!
this is when the XR50 bar comes in....
it looks tops ( if you can get it to fit your car properly!! mine has turned to S-+IT again! )

your the only one with a fitment prob Rob, I was with Bucknaked last Sat and his is fine and mine thanks to a good panel beater is fitted better than the factory bar ever was.

LG, XR front looks fine with the Pursuit Lip, it's up to you anyway and thats all that matters.
And don't worry about Casper trying to find hundreths of a second, looking good is far better when on the road 99.9% of the time LOL...you'll still meet at the same set of traffic lights.

Adam very good points for the experts !

The front air dam does look a bit funny and must be an acquired taste but something about it makes me look twice. So I went and photoshopped it onto my Fairlane and I quite like it. It's like a TL50 but with the extra lights.

It's a bit hard to see and would be a custom job but what do you guys think?

Andrew.

I liked it straight away... but the longer I look the "wrong'er" it seems. Just doesnt quite have the right lines for it.

I know what you mean, the TL50 has straighter-edged lines on its kit to match the Fairlane. And maybe my grille just doesn't suit a body kit!
