Hey, i need to remove my air vents as i have gotten some soft drink onto the air louvers which have caused them to be a little sticky.
I have a 2006 focus and the air vents i'm talking about are the ones on the center dashboard. |

Just drive your car in to a lake with the windows down. It will wash out any spilled Coke that way and clear away lots of unwanted flotsam too.
Or, have a look at this article to get an idea of what the vent looks like. You can see the tabs that hold it in place. But in your case, I think you need to do the opposite, i.e. our vent controls are at the bottom, so the clips too are probably at the bottom. http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgu...26tbs%3Disch:1 Good luck with it.

It's harder than i thought... anyone have first hand experience with a 2006 focus with air vents like in this pic?

There are two retaining clips on the upper side of the air vent. You will need to insert a flat blade screw driver into the air vent to release the clips. The whole air vent will release and slide out.
