Another thing I have just noticed. Holden's LPG Commodore has a final drive ratio of 3.27:1 compared to the EcoLPi's 2.73:1. Even with the shorter diff ratio, the LPG Commodore is significantly slower than the EcoLPi Falcon. Put a 3.23:1 ratio into the Falcon (the old E-gas final drive) and watch the Falcon completely demolish any V6 Commodore!

I wonder how this comment from the Motor Report article is justified?

"the simpler vapour injection has a mechanical advantage (in terms of 'work') and marginally better fuel consumption and emissions figures"

its something i've whinged about for years. they don't seem to have to justify anything they write about. if they write misinformation, they should be brought to task over it.

Holden do this all the time with all sorts of crap, but one thing it does by this type of advertising is get their name everywhere. Where as ford.....well! I still haven't seen an ad about the lpg falcon but now everyone knows about the lpg commodore

EcoLPi Territory then. They can still sell it with the diesel. Those who hate the thought and sound of a diesel will buy the EcoLPi version. If you really want to waste money, buy the petrol version. It's what should have been there in the SY.
