Should not of bought this car, but now I have it I must fix it.
Off idle when cold it has a big flat spot, once you get past the flat spot it surges. It only does this when cold, I have already changed plugs. I am think that it may be a leak in the exhaust manifold because once it is warm it goes away. And another thing it just seems that the idle is too rough. Will replace fuel filter and do a oil and filter change but I don't think this will make any diff. Maybe a coil too, don't know. Any thoughts? |

Could be time to use carby cleaner on the throttle body and Idle control valve.
They can be the cause if you have over 50,ooo KLMs on the clock |

I have a 2011 LV with less than 15,000 k's on it and it has a fairly noticeable flat spot especially when cold but also slightly when at normal operating temperature when taking off from a stop. I'm going to mention it to the service dept. when it has it's first service in the next couple of weeks. I have a feeling it's to do with the drive by wire throttle set up but hopefully they will be able to sort it out as it is a bit annoying :(
