Im a MASSIVE fan of M-division mostly because of M3's. But reading this utterly disgusts me. Very poor form.

Wouldn't it have been better to have a pipe (with a butterfly valve to turn open and close it) to pipe actual engine sounds into the interior? (Obviously not an open pipe to the engine bay which would pump fumes into the cabin).

They call it a sound symposium, and I think the Ford Focus ST/XR5 was one of the first vehicles to use it, if not the first.

They ran a small pipe from the intake through the firewall and into the cabin to bring some intake noise inside.

Its weird how some Euro cars pass our noise regs when they are a lot louder than the locally made ones. Just listen to how loud an Aston Martin V8 Vantage is at full throttle, its almost like a Nascar.
