I noticed a very peculiar thing during the Clipsal 500 - 'EcoBoost' signage on the FPR cars. Even one of the commentators pointed out that it was the new 4 cyl engine going into Falcon.
What do we all make of this? Is the release closer than we think?

Now if only the people buying falcons had a low IQ like commy buyers and thought that the V8SC's run Ecoboost engines, it must be good!

Any advertising is good for the new engine but i couldn't help thinking that when i was watching sweet v8 falcons winning races why would you want to then go out and buy a 4 cylinder falcon? Edit- On a side note I'm not trying to bash up on the eco boost engine either. I think with the cost of fuel only ever rising it is a good idea.

I think it was a good start by Ford, but to really sell the ecoboost, they need to expand beyond V8SC into a more mainstream medium e.g. Primetime TV
I have said it before, the average person has no idea about ecoboost and it's econimical capabilities... Cmon Ford, start thinking bigger especially if you really want to start selling some cars!

Nothing wrong with this advertising. In fact Ford need more of it.
The more positive press we have about it, the better.

Anyone else see CEO Robert Graziano in FPR's tent, apparently they consider him their lucky charm....
Good to see that the Ford CEO is enthusiastic about Ford in motorsport... |

I'd be enthusiastic too if they paid for my flights, accom, food and drink and got me a place in the pits. The season will probably be over before the ecoboost makes into showrooms, so its kind of pointless now. Good to see they did an EcoLpi banner. |

I was there...whether they have an ecoboost engine or not it was great to see ford getting some respect from the HORDES of red Holden fans.
1,2 win....very convincingly too. |

Ford fans are always outnumbered 3 to 1 from what I see at Clipsal. Getting some Ecoboost coverage on the Ford badged cars is a start especially when the Ford Factory team win 1-2.
