Angry Stolen Number Plates

Some **** bag stole my plates and has already used them to steal fuel and clock up tolls.
They even put plates on my car and made sure the dealer number plate surround
was on.
Plates they put on my car are from a stolen car too!
******* low life ****s.

get a set of tamper proof srews (down side is you need the special tool to get them off) if you need to change plates im sure you can get them from autobarn/repco or even the local police station. I had them on when i had custom plates

Thanks mate,

That made me laugh

If I had got them, they would have had the old engine block chained to them and then dump in the bay.

I am now thinking of getting wheel clamps!

dodgy slime.
thats just plain cheeky. guess they put the other plates back on yours so that you moght not notice for a while to give them more time to use them.
would have been a bit hard to explain if you didnt notice and got pulled over with stolen plates on your car.

i think in a few years we'll have to switch to those tamper-proof plates. they showed them on Fifth Gear (yes, the 'other' gear). If you pull the plate off, it self-destructs, leaving the number on the bumper and the thief walks away with a crappy numberplate frame.

Went to the transport department and got new plates today, even though mine had been stolen I still had to pay the $25 for new plates.
I then drove to the local coppers and handed in the plates that they put on my car.
They gave me third degree and said why are you giving us the plates, they are off a stolen car you dumb ****s!

Go-via won't refund the tolls that they have taken off my account either.

How is it when you are the victim you seem to get screwed twice, once by the **** bags who stole your **** and then the government want some as well.

Mother ****ers.

One of my personalised plates got stolen a while back, I havent bothered getting a new one, why should I pay the $150 for a plate... I will replace it one day, just not yet. I think that it was taken as a trophy or something... SIKBRO

Unfortunately a mate of mine has told me that this is becoming commonplace on the Gold Coast now, steeling plates and then using them to do a runner at fuel stations. He has pop riveted the plates on everyone in his families cars.

after having 2 sets swiped - QLD personalised plates - (just one plate from each instance)
The cops found 1 a few days later on an abandoned car in Kingston here is Brissy and sent it back to me
I reported them as soon as i noticed and the Police were very good - last time they actually came out to where the car was and the CIB or whoever actally fingerprinted the back of the car - it was washed and dried only about an hour beforehand so it was nice and clean and a perfect platform to have it dusted and a few palm and finger prints were lifted
I now have a square headed type coach screw on all the plates now - got rid of the normal type screws now

Just noticed a 1000 post milestone in 7 years

Easy way to stop this is for all servos to be 'swipe credit card/debit card or pre-pay at the counter before the pump starts working'. Inconvienient I know, but I think it will be a reality soon.
