Default 1998 au fairmont ghia v8 smartlock location

can anyone pplease tell me exactlt where the smartlock module is in my au fairmont???
i think i found the bem, big green module where your left knee is when driving??
ive fitted a smartlock bypass module and need to bypass the starter inhibiter circuit, need to find the two red with dark blue stripe wires at the module connector
please can anyone help asap?

Dan, it would appear that you have in fact located your BEM. As for a 'Smartlock module', I do not believe that such a beast exists. To the best of my knowledge the smartlock is a function of the ECU.

Here is a screen shot from Binary Editor, my tuning Application. Of course, mine is AUII, so I use smartshield, but you can see the switch for the smartlock in the tuning scalars as a function of the ECU.

auIILTD is spot on the smartlock is a part of the BEM and the ECU in combination they work together to provide the security. there is a module at the back of the ignition switch but that just sends the security signal to the BEM
