Seeing as I don't want to fry my tyres any more than they already are, what size rim and tyre should I get for the occasion drag run.
Are base model stockies fine ? Will I get too much spin from them ? Or should I get the same as my current (17's with 235/45's) ? Car info is in sig.

i think you'd be better off with some 15's....and run them at around 15psi.

yep AUI will fit 15's back and front but you only want an old set of 15's with some sticky rubber to fry and save your tyres.
When I was at WSID all day with you and soxx I didn't even try one burnout as I only just paid for my set of es100's. Lot easier on the pocket and mind to have a pair of drag wheels and tyres for WSID |

I got a bit enthusiastic and wore down my relatively new tyres quite a bit.
If I can do this to dumpies instead I'll be a lot better off in the wallet dept.

try and buy some 2nd hand curciut slicks normally around $30 each.
there not the best, but better grip than street tyres and cheaper to burn..
