Just wondering if anyone has done this yet ?
New EB Falc looks good with the high power tune but I'd imagine a Titanium Ecoboost with the Falc tune would be a sweet thing to own. Power, technology, efficiency, comfort and good handling. Thoughts and plans anyone ? |

Agreed sounds like a good idea, i wonder if you can load tunes between cars. If you could load the falc tune onto an EB mondeo you have a replacement left by the void that was the XR5, or close to it.

And what about the gearbox/diff will it take the extra torque?

European Mondeo Ecoboost tune was updated in 2011, (yet we still continue to get the 149 Kw tune), perhaps to make Falc EB look better, who knows ? Euro Mondeo is available with a 177 kw 340 nm EB2.0. Not quite falcon tune in terms of torque but very close.
Here's a brief review http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/carrevi...eo_driven.html Don't know about you guys but initial testing of the Falc EB has been showing 0-100 in the high second second zone. Go figure why the slightly lighter Mondeo would take 7.5 seconds according to this test ? Performance may be a tad underwhelming but it gives the Falc EB a real hiding in the equipment and technology stakes in my opinion. |
