I stayed up last night watching a documentary on SBS called simply 'Gallipoli', it went for two hours.

For anyone wanting to understand the sacrifices made by our diggers, it is highly recommended that you watch it, you will never be the same.

Yep I saw that too.

Really good information about the conflict from both sides and impartially presented as well which makes a nice change.

I have to be honest I really had no idea how tough the conditions were until I saw that.

Hardly surprising so many just wanted to forget about it as best they could after it was all over.
