Why buy an EX taxi and have to spend money on it..
Id rather a lower km AU for a few dollars more, most taxi operators will swap all the good parts out of their cars into other cars before they sell them. e.g. if one has a new box and its about to be decommissioned they will swap that box with another one. same with diffs, motors, plastics... Why buy something for a lesser amount if you are going to have to keep spending money on it. AU = more reliable. eg. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...eot=1&__Ntt=au falcon wagon&silo=1011&__sid=1318A9ED4150&keywords=au falcon wan&__D=au falcon wagon&SearchAction=N&__N=1216 1246 1247 1252 1282&__Ntx=mode matchallpartial&__Qpb=1&__Nne=15&__Dx=mode matchany |

If anyone on here is still interested I have one for sale. Was bought brand new by my Dad who was the owner operator of a Taxi business in North East Vic. Looked after extremely well as he drove it 80% of the time. Still drives extremely well.
Is a AUII 2001 Falcon Forte with S Pack (has alloys and used to have spoiler but that was taken off). There is rego until end of October but I plan to sell it unregistered as I don't have time to go out and get a RWC done. Well, I bit the bullet the other night and called the guy who owned the cab I mentioned in the post above...
Quote:
I offered him a ludicrously low amount, we haggled a bit and I'm now the owner of another BA wagon.... Just drove it back from QLD 1950kms (stopping at Coffs Hbr to visit my parents) and she didn't miss a beat. Body has a few small dents and blemishes plus the interior is pretty rough but mechanically its really good. Will tidy her up over the next 6-8 weeks and register her early next year Thanks everyone for the help Last edited by BTTB; 26-11-2011 at 03:56 PM. |

Good work mate
even if the whole driveline craps out you can get a 2nd hand one from the wreckers for under $1500
