Default In search of a Tachco feed

need to find a usable tachco feed, supercharged AU motor in an EB dirt track race car with Autronic ECU, using AU wasted spark coil pack. can get a signal from one wire on coil pack but its obviously one third the revs. Bought an Autosport LAbs circuit board no good, no signal as soon as you hook up the 3 neg triggers, same as the diodes i tried. Tried injector feed, no go, Any ideas, maybe MSD induction pickup, anyone used one? hard to hear the revs with helmet.Anyone used the crank trigger?

The ECU should have a tacho output and it should be getting its signal from the crank/cam angle sensors. Thats how my Haltech and previous Wolf3d have worked.

Does it matter what the tacho shows, so long as you know what it means?

only one third of the revs makes the resolution pretty crap when racing, trying to see the gear change point as its hard to hear with the helmet and other cars etc.
