I've been wondering that myself...probably our own fault (or our sons originally). His staffy-cross lives with us out here, and our sons first car from some years back, an old '93 Corolla Seca, sits in the back yard needing a head gasket (when I get time...). He let the dog jump up on it, and now it gets up on there all the time to survey the street.
The problem is that he's started jumping up on our old WB ute as well. The missus says if he jumps up on the G6E or our Celica, he's an ex-dog... |

Sprinkle the cars with finely ground pepper. Works very well on cats too.

LOL Anyway for future reference people can use powdered naphtaline sprinkled around their car etc. Its crushed mothball powder that can be bought in supermarket. This will deter any cat or dog! Have a sniff youself and you will see what I mean. After a feww weeks the dog or cat or possum is trained, end of story. This stuff is cheap and very effective. For possums that run along the fence mix the naph with vaseline and smear it on the top of fence, these little mongrels get their paws caked with it and they will be on the nose for weeks and other possums will not want anything to do with it for a while. Its not toxic but what "mongrel" would lick that stuff. LOL

This one will take a bit of work but should result in dog keeping his distance from the car:
1. Buy an electric fence transformer. Here's an example: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PowerPlus...item3a6f8fb083 2. Lock dog in house 3. Disconnect negative battery lead of XR8 to be on the safe side. 4. Urinate on wheels of XR8 5. Connect transformer to towbar or other metal fitting with a jumper lead. 6. Connect transformer to mains and turn it on. 7. Let dog out of house. 8. After he's Christened all four wheels he won't want to go anywhere near your car again :-) |
