Slightly off topic, I want to compliment all you Australian Ford Forum members for very tasteful comments regarding Mr. Shelby's passing. Shelby was certainly not infallible, and I'm not a big fan of some of his later business dealings, but his contributions to the automotive world in general and the Ford performance world in particular are undeniable.
In an American forum I frequent—supposedly a Ford fan forum—there has been ridiculous highly distasteful bickering over the man and his accomplishments. I am very impressed that people half a world away seem much more knowledgeable and are demonstrably more respectful. Good on you all!

outspending 10 to 1 to beat ford teams is a ferrari specialty in world motorsport
at least ford won when outspending the opposition . . . . and of course they won while underspending with a smaller capacity motor |
