In a few hours I'm leaving Adelaide to visit Perth. My nanna is turning 80, and seeing as she is the last surviving grandparent I feel it is time I make the trip over to see her and my other family!
I'm staying for five days, I'll be sure to keep everyone updated on things and if anyone would like to catch up I'll be staying near Whitfords shopping centre, if anyone knows that one. We've been rushing around today trying to get ready. My mum packed a few days ago; the men of the household are just getting around to it now. The dog has been given to a dog handler for the duration; she looked displeased at her removal from her home. The flight leaves in 2 hours and for those who know me(whoosha, Auslandau et al) I have absolutely no luck with flying and I'll be knocking back spirits to ease my nerves!

Lunch Sunday with my nanna and family, otherwise no real solid plans! Taking it as it comes.

Make sure you head to Northbridge on Friday or Saturday night. It's got nothing compared to Syd where I'm from, but has more going on there than what I've seen in Adel. Or you could hit up Republic in Shafto Lane ha ha my fave place.. It's not for everyone though lol.
And get into some Emu Export, WA's finest.

Im over in Perth too for an old house mates wedding. Arrived yesterday and I've already ended up having my grandparents replacing an SX4 for a Mondeo TDCi.
The nicest parts of WA seem to be south or ALONG way north.

Kallaroo is near whitfords shopping centre, not far from Hilary's boat harbor.
I'm just getting breakfast at the shopping centre now.

Enjoy Naish. That's one area of Australia I haven't been to (Perth that is) and wouldnt mind some pointers when you get back to what is worth checking out there if I ever make the journey.

Mandurah is a good day trip, 75 kays south of the CBD, very much like Glenelg except its kind of a country town in some ways and not it others if that makes sense.

Yep, best thing is you can now take the train from Whitfords direct to Mandurah, get plastered and not have to drive
.

I recommend you spend sunday lunch/arvo in freo and make the most of what the beautiful city has to offer. An if the weather nice while you have lunch or coffee on the main capo strip watch some nice muscle cars cruise by the arvo.

It's actually pretty nice over here, I've been all over WA so have seen a fair bit. Esperance Kalgoorlie Albany Busselton Bunbury Collie Geraldton Karratha Port Hedland Broome And a few other regional centers not too far from Perth CBD. Kal is my fave remote town! Port Hedland, no thanks. Don't like heading up there for work... I like Collie, Bunbury and Busso are nice as well. The CBD has its things to check out, Belltower, Northbridge Cultural Centre, King St in the city for decent shopping stuff like that. But that's about it. Then there is Freo, Mandurah - yeah it's nice, but no thanks ha ha. Plus plenty of beaches. You Come over here to chill out, fun in the sun.. Not a hell of a lot to do otherwise!

The breakfast/brunch is going quite well, all the blokes are seated at one table and started drinking Around 10.30! Myself included. It's such a glorious day and for you WA folk we are opposite the bell tower in the upstairs function room.
I've had a fantastic trip so far. I went out Friday night to subiaco and hit up some clubs, stayed at a mates, which was fun. I miss Adelaide but its not so bad. A generous father and plenty of alcohol is helping!
