Default Only 3 days to go

Our new focus is in Australia and is now on a truck heading this way! yay! they reckon we should be able to get our hands on it on friday.... sooo cant wait.

How long before u reckon I could have a crack at a really long distance trip, melbourne to canberra, would the engine need to be broken in before I tried something in the 110km/h for 7 hours range?

Running in a car normally involves 1/2 to 3/5 engine load over 3/4 of the avaliable revs. And keeping revs varying. Are you in Melbourne? I should be getting mine soon as well.

We did a massive drive with the Honda when we first got it.... Canberra to Sydney.... cause we were able to get it cheaper.....

Im sure that driving at 110km for 7 hours is fine, but maybe try getting to canberra NOT on the highway.... like that you are slowing down and changing gears more often....

We just snapped up what is apparently the last 5sp LX Hatch in Pure Silver in Aus at present.

I tracked it down to a dealership that had it on the showroom floor and got an order in just in time!!

With a bit of luck we'll be picking it up on Sat, and we'll have to drive it straight back to Canberra. That's ok though, I'll just vary the speed, load and gear while driving on the highway.

Mate, its a shame we can't believe a word of Ford Aust. The dealers are on the receiving end of Fords problem. I don't think theres a conspiracy with the dealer, my dealer believed they were getting the cars Wednesday and only found out on Wednesday their getting it sometime next week. Word is the cars are sitting in Toll Trans holding yard waiting to be picked up. I've been waiting since July ;)

Hahahahhahha, Tolls are now going to support HRT in the V8 supercars. Count this be an agreement with Holden? That they would screw the Focus owners over so that Holden could continue making record sales with the Astra? :dr_Evil:
