like the relationship between nz and aust, is there any other countries that have pretty lenient rules regarding working and staying?
im just looking through some options at the moment, and the idea of working my way round some other countries is pretty attractive right now. bu oviously some countries are a lot stricter than others. |

Each country is different. Don't know off hand of any countries that allow Aussies to just arrive and start work. Having said that, a lot depends on the type of work and how long you intend to stay.
Having said that I have lost count of the signs I have seen in hostels saying "free bed for x days work". You can see heaps of the world on the cheap that way. I certainly did

if you have a uni degree or 12 years in a specialised industry, Aus citizens can apply for a work permit/visa waiver in the USA. Forgot what it's called but looks pretty cool.
Edit: It is a Visa. known as E-3 Visa Last edited by Stugots; 17-06-2012 at 04:24 PM. |

Just pick some countries and ring their consulate/embassy or whatever its called. Would have to be better than going someplace just because you can work there.

If you have parents, grandfathers from another country, you may be able to get rights.
For instance, the UK had grand parental rights for Aussies. This allowed you to enter the UK and work using your Aussie passport via a visa stamped inside. |

If you are interested in Canada, you may get a VISA easy. They are part of the commonwealth.
