Poor Bloke, I can imagine what he'd be thinking, I'd feel slack at taking a swing at a 14yo even if he was going at you. Had the cop turned around and broken the kids Jaw can you imagine what the headline would have been then?

Poor bugger would have probably lost his Job, instead he nearly loses his life. Hope he makes a full recovery.

Remember how common it was up until the 1980s?

Time to name and shame, show their faces on media, once convicted.
When I was in primary school I got threatened with losing my Nintendo 64 and that was enough to bring me back into line

Well its almost a year since i made that comment.... but i see nothing has changed with the "justice" system.

More slaps on the wrist for violent crime.

In Townsville last week a rapist had his sentanced REDUCED by 2 yrs on appeal, because his lawyer argued that the victim was UNCONSCIENCE so she wouldnt greatly affected by it!

Agreed. Much more is needed.

Would anyone even listen though? Do governments really care what the people think anymore?

Disagree here. This Facebook generation would just get high on the attention. I think a better way would be that nothing gets said in the media and the kid gets locked away for a time.

Bring the 14 year old in to the police station and show him what page "justice" is in the yellow pages

I read all these stories about kids (yes they are kids! not adults yet) doing all these terrible things. Acts of violence, theft, drinking and smoking...Where the heck are their parents????

I know where my kids are 24/7...shame others can't say the same.

Cheers
Col
