I had an aftermarket camera fitted by the dealer. Comes with a mirror that fits over the car's standard rear view mirror, which then doubles as the camera display when you put the car in reverse. Works perfectly and was about $500.

Hi GC,
Lots of stuff to choose from Go here for an example: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/In-Car-Re...item3f10f61b72 Lots less than $500 and has the advantage of wireless transmission plus extras. Please note that I'm not recommending this personally, it's just one example of the many styles you can now source. Cheers

I too had an aftermarket camera fitted. But not with the over the rear-view mirror monitor, as this would negate auto-dipping.
When I enquired a few years ago about wireless, the auto-electrician advised that they did not yet have one that didn't suffer from various inteferences. Steve |

ps It's pretty poor that a car the spec of the Titanium doesn't come with rear view camera!

Here's one I found, no idea if it is any good but if I was looking for one, this would be high on my list. Price includes fitment as well: http://www.thecarkitcompany.com.au/i...everse-cameras
Reading it again you might be stuffed as it can't be fitted with dimming mirrors.

Someone did that years ago and had major issues. Bluetooth didn't work, and a number of other issues came up as well. Can't remember who it was, but a search will fill in some gaps if need be.

I have one as a standard fitting in my MC 2.2 Titanium wagon now in Germany. It is an ex-Ford employee car and has the works. The camera also has a superimposed yellow and red warning area that moves with the angle of the steering wheel.
Works very well especially in tight car parks but after years of driving cars I am still used to craning my neck/head around instead of looking at the 7" screen.

I have both, but we have a driveway that slopes away from the garage floor. I trust the camera, not the sensors. Quote:
