Only weeks now till the Rally of Bathurst and the debut of the Team RS Focus.
I've secured my ticket and am wondering if there'll be any EUROFORD Club members attending? |

Of course I'll be there... in a slightly more official format though, as part of the team hopefully! Still yet to confirm, but I'm going either way if I can help it.

It's the weekend of the 29/30 October. We'll have to make a meeting point and take it from there. I'm travelling up on Friday morning and staying Friday and Saturday night and then travelling back on Sunday. That's the plan as it stands for now.

This is going to be a difficult one for me to swing. What accomodation plans did we have, if any? Eddie, if you know something about accomodation there that I don't, or Todd for that matter, either PM me or post in the thread if you could. Might make an expensive weekend if you don't get it sorted. Could be a long weekend in a busy time for me, but I would dearly love to be there to see the new ARC Focus.

I'm driving up from Sydney in a new BF Fairlane (oh the pain!) on Friday and will be at the Rally on Sunday all day with the team. Drop by on Sunday if you're around!!!
I'm then driving back to Melbourne on Tuesday. Bit of a fly-by-night but well worth the trip up!!!

ford have withdrawn from competing in the rally as they feel some of the equipment is a bit underdone

Unfortunately I won't be there as I am car-less until who knows what stage this weekend... and we wouldn't get to see the car on the day I would have been able to go anyway! Curses!
Oh well... hopefully Ford can get things working a bit better then. Tim |

Zetec and I went to Mt. Panorama for a few hours in the morning on Sunday. By that stage the Rally had been cancelled and most of the teams were back from Sunny Corner and packing up. We were invited back into the Pits and the TeamRS Foci was already loaded into the transporter.
Despite this, we managed a few words with Michael Guest and he had a quick look at my Foci. It was raining and I parked it in the Pit Garage!! He was genuinely interested in how it all worked (my hand-controls) and Zetec took a good photo of Michael in my Foci. Very lucky that I was there for the Super Special Stages at Mt. Panorama on Friday and Saturday and that I got to see all of the cars running (bar the TeamRS Foci). My sincere thanks to Zetec for coming out to Mt. Panorama on Sunday and it was good to see FlaminFiesta again. Simonr, I noticed a Fiesta with some good looking signwriting on the side as I was leaving Bathurst on the Great Western Highway. It had TeamRS signage (I think) and some other gear on it too. Have you seen it in Bathurst?? Also on his lonesome, was a Red MKI Foci who was camping at Mt. Panorama. Michael said he had noticed it parked there whilst on his warm-down lap from the SS Stage. Can't wait till the Rally of Canberra next year. I'm planning on going. |

Top photo, Zetec! For a 2MP Camera it did well considering it was taken inside with the lights on in the pit garage. I like the effect of the water beading on my Foci and I haven't forgotten about Rally of Canberra next year.
