Hi there Matt
Im going to relocate my ABS module and was wondering can I just empty out the brake system (drain all fluid) and move it to where I want and plumb it all back up or do I need to leave fluid in certain components?? |

Also Can I blead the system with the engine off or dose it need to be running?? (was thinking of bleeding before doing the wiring)

Think you will find that you will need a scan tool to bleed it as I have found when changing other abs modules.

Now with 620rwhp ready to run the 10 built zf, built tailshaft, corn juice all to come. The old rig: 2008 FG XR8 Auto in dash green with a tonne of mods to make 311rwkw. |

You will have to operate the valves in the abs module to bleed it.

I just spoke to a Ford technician and was told the only problem maybe resetting the brake warning switch once everything is re connected as the light should come on if it is disconnected.
Maybe contact Ford and speak to one of there mechanics and get a second opinion before you proceed. PS. You may want to check the legality of moving the abs unit as well because this may also be a problem.

Thanks guys I'll give ford a call if I run into trouble, I have a factory ford manual so that helps but I'm sure something will not go smoothly knowing my luck....
