Default Ford Q3 profit!

And...

With a little help from our fearless leader and I do mean "a little help". Here is some light reading on how well the "arts" are doing.

Last year the Australia Council spent almost $164m making grants to individuals and organisations to supply classical music, opera, visual arts and theatre, for example. It made more than 900 grants to individual artists and more than 1000 grants to organisations, which together culminated in the presentation or creation of almost 15,000 works of art.

But the Australia Council is a mere wafer atop the arts funding cake. While the GFC ravaged tax revenues, total arts and heritage funding across state and federal governments trended serenely upwards from $4.5 billion in 2006 to $5.5bn in 2010.

WHAT?
Not really relevant but shows where some of the AFG deficit is coming from

$5,500,000,000??? Do the Aus car makers produce that sort of money? I think not.
And yes, some cars are objects of art. Maybe the car manufacturers should get a piece of the arts pie.

Great turnaround!

I see heaps of the Euro Fords on the road now. They are becoming more and more popular, especially the diesel models.
