We have had one for a month or so now... I catch myself grabbing the keys to it in favour of my FG Turbo sometimes. The exhaust leaves you feeling like the biggest hoon every time you take of...... I LOVE IT Did you have much trouble getting one??? Our dealer had to pinch one from a dealer in NSW (we are in VIC) |

After years of Falcons I thought I'd give a hatch a go and after getting my WS Zetec I haven't looked back. They really are a great ride. The Metal is mighty tempting but I'm going to hold out for the ST. |

Had a old Mazda 121 that I was using as a daily not even worth mentioning in my Sig.
So when I went to the ford dealer saw this cracking little car thought this will be perfect for daily duties. Plan is for 2 years from now to get what I really want a Gs Ute Manual. Went for a drive last night these fiestas are so great in town chuck em into a corner and away they go brought a smile to my face especially roundabouts at night when roads are quiet. Very impressed with everything so far only thing I noticed that the paintwork is going to be a labour of love to keep shiny. It's sad to notice more people comment on a Fiesta than my FG T. As for Power haven't exploited it yet running it in still but as far as I can tell above 3500 is when it starts to say hi. Although anything and everything is slow after driving a T haha. Exhaust is great for a factory unit very burbley and crackles on downshifts. German fit and finish is superb everything is so nicely done. Oh Ford Aus I want AUTO WINDOW UP in my future falcons. Will post more findings as I rack the kays thanks for reading...

Congrats on that beautiful car.
I find that the traction control kicks in pretty early though and hardly lets anything slip, not sure if that's the same case in the Metal too, though the great Fiesta chassis can really be chucked into a corner at speed, so you may not see it as much. Since you're in the run-in period, it's best to give it the boot every once so often. Vary the revs and don't hold it at the same rev for any long period of time. As for the paintwork, if you can afford to give the car a weekend, give it a good hard wash with some dishwashing liquid to get absolutely everything off it, clay the paintwork down, then give it a layer of synthetic sealant. Then chuck a layer of wax on it the next week and water/dirt will slide right off and it'll be deep shiney. |

Lucky for me my town is FULL of roundabouts, pretty much nothing is able to stay with the Fiesta after a serious of 5 intersections that have all been roundabouted. Most especailly nothing large !
