Default Km/l

As most of you may or may not know I own a 2002 AU Series 3 XR6 VCT ST. Now, my question is, how many kilometers to other AU XR6 (and VCT) owners get from their tanks?

I seem to get about 380 with some spirited driving and about 400 with normal suburban driving (not city driving), Does this sound correct for the 62? litre tank?

- Shane

Usually when I fill the tank up it tells me 550 DTE. I don't usually check the OD. But I might just to get an accurate figure.

400 seems very bad

Got AUII Wagon, I6. Get minimum 450k's per tank and thats pushing it. About 500 - 515 when driving in economy like a Grandma. These are city driving figures as well.

Maybe it's less k's. Although last time i filled the car up for city driving was a while a go. I usually only put $50 in at a time

Use to get 570 to a maxium of 700 out of my AUIII XR6 VCT. Mind you this is out of a ute with an extra 14 litres on board.

However my BA II XLS work ute is now average 7.8 litres per hundred, cars are always on Premium and I never drive them hard when im working, i prefer to set the cruise and just steer. The XLS gets about the same as the old VCT, but ive got about 400 kays out of half a tank so i expect to get close to 800 kms out of this tank.... These figures are all highway figures usually between Brisbane and Warwick.. Worse figure ive probarly got was about 430 and that wasnt run right down...

My dad gets about 650km's a tank from his AU1 XR6 VCT 5 speed. That is with about 70% highway driving. I get about 450-500 out of a tank from my EB XR6 5 speed.

the computer says 13.6 Litres/Hundred kays in my mums VCT. but she is a cas/slow driver and gets anywhere between like 440-550 kays from a tank at least. majority highway kays though(peak hour).

my car, just the normal OHC, i got 480 kays from a tank once. the comp reads 14.2L/100 km

Shane, you've got a 68 litre tank mate.

Dark's AUIII XR6 without the boat anchor IRS : Ranges from 450-900+ km.

Short range stuff courtesy of XR_Strider_GuY's hooning behind the helm on his Sydney visits.

Long range stuff courtesy of freeway motoring obviously.

Cheahman's is pretty much exactly what im getting

I am serously blown away by the amount of k's you guys are getting on your tanks. The most ive ever gotten out of mine is 470 with almost completely highway driving.

Might take it into Ford for its service a bit early so they can check if its chewing fuel or not. And to get my fuel pump turned as well, the low fuel cutoff s me to tears *and bruises*

I get at an average 650 klms per tank, i only run pulp. But that is 80% highway and 20% around town, as i live in a small town and have to travel 30 klms each way to work and the nearest city. But thats out of my 98 EL waggon.

Shane, the ballpark figure is around 750+ km out of a tank highway conditions in the VCT.

In my ute I get anywhere from <10L/100K's (highway) to >15L/ 100K's (This is my own dodgy calculations)

I have on several occasions, mostly on long trips, got more than 850Km out of a tank. But I do hav an 82L tank.

EDIT: I have the Tickford XR6 engine, not VCT.
