Ford have a similar one (5 or 6 piece) for $16.. IIRC

I could`nt get an appropriate torx without paying a small fortune and having to order one, so i got the little dremel out with little cutting wheel and carefully put screw driver slots on the heads , then replaced them with bolts or cap screws, i forget which, but did the job anyway.

Just for everyone's information, there is a Torx standard, with tamper-proof (just the addition of the centre pin). Then there is a new standard called Torx-plus (Torx TX). If you are wondering why you old Torx drivers don't fit perfectly in a newer Torx fastener, its probably a because the fastener is Torx-plus. The Tamper-proof version of Torx-plus has 5 shoulders/pins.
Torx-plus was developed to to improve torque transfer to the fastener. |
