Like any government in power, they simply lie.

O'Farrell stated he will reduce the amount of cameras that were revenue raising only. Initially he did, Secret lil bugger

Funny how he also tried to palm off a fuel tax which no one knew of but one of the media agencies found out and he did a backflip.

If you don't like the cameras, don't contribute to their evil scheme to slow motorists down...

Although I agree that speeding should be reduced, Im sick of this speed kills mentality... Stick more RBTs out there, or more police out there... but I guess that wouldn't automatically bring the govt. out of the red...

I wish my Territory could raise revenue instead of spending it. Where can I get that model?

And shouldn't he be booked for parking on the footpath?

As the political war on motorists continues, what better place to counter it than on an automotive enthusiasts forum?

Why make that comment, im simply informing everyone what to expect this year. Political never came into it.

I do stand by my comment that they need more police on the road and not speed cameras or planes measuring speed from 800 feet in the air!

RTA Definition of speeding

Speeding is defined as excessive speed for the prevailing conditions.

For statistical purposes the RTA considers speeding to have been a contributing factor in a road crash if:

At least one driver/ rider was charged with a speeding offence; or

The vehicle was described by the police as travelling at excessive speed; or

The stated speed of the vehicle was in excess of the speed limit.

The vehicle was performing a manoeuver characteristic of excessive speed, that is:

While on a curve the vehicle jack-knifed, skidded , slid or the controller lost control; or
The vehicle ran off the road while negotiating a bend or turning a corner and the controller was not distracted by something nor disadvantaged by drowsiness or sudden illness and was not swerving to avoid another vehicle, animal or object and the vehicle did not suffer equipment failure.
