Okay so....i saw my car last week, fixed the door lock acutators and i cant figure out how but when i lock the car with the button it only locks the drivers side and not the passenger.....then when i push the passenger side lock down it locks the passenger side but not the drivers side :@ its like its not getting power to the acutator when the button is pushed, so now to lock all 4 i gotta lock the passenger side with the key and then press the button at the same time :/

So, I've been fixing my car and it will be in rwc condition in a few days! But I was sitting in the car with it idling and I saw that the oil pressure is nothing.... And it has th light o say I need oil, would that be an oil sensor?

Replace the pressure switch. Should only be about 12 bucks or so

Congratulations, I know how you feel! E-series falcons are great first cars... sure they use a bit of petrol but parts are dirt cheap, they're pretty safe and nice to drive.

Your problem is oil pressure switch probably, if not would be worth replacing, they don't cost much and they can leak.
Bit of a pain to get too, above the oil filter. Use a spark plug socket (or oil sender socket), make sure you put thread tape on the new one

Smartlock problems are common, especially in summer heat. Mine used to play up every now and again (would lock/unlock itself for a few minutes before a 50% chance of landing on either one.... would take a while to get it locked in summer sometimes, but it was uncommon enough I didn't bother replacing the lock actuator).

I'm not sure if your question was answered from the first page as I skipped through a few posts... but yes SOME parts from EA, EB and ED are interchangeable with your EF (and EL's). Exhaust and springs/shocks are interchangeable.

If I were you I'd be fixing it up all nice, polish, clean the engine bay, replace spark plugs/lead, check/replace radiator and piping... touch up any marks as best I could, replace any damaged/worn interior pieces. Then once I had it running perfectly and all neat, all it'd need is exhaust (2.5" from eBay about $250), XR 'low' springs (Wreckers, $50), dark tint... and you're set

Would it be worthwhile replacing the pressure switch when I change the oil? Cause I'm down under there anyway! Ugh yes the "smart lock" they call it -.- stupid thing haha

Well if your dash light is playing up, would be worth a try. And as said, it's not a bad place to start as it's not a complete waste if it doesn't fix the problem

Still, did you check it anyway?

Was the oil pressure ok, and light not on before the oil change, but appear after your oil change?

Oh does yours have the oil pressure gauge in it?

If that is the case, the oil sender unit you use has to be a different, more expensive one.
