Default FG XR8 Rotor Replacement

Hi,

I've got RDA7934S for the front of my FG XR8. From what I've read, matching rotors for the rear are RDA505S. Can you give me a price delivered to 3350 for them?

Thanks,

Sam.

From what I've read, it's recommended to change the pads at the same time as the rotors?

Can you please add to the quote, Remsa pads for front and back (they seem to be ok from what I've read. I'm no racer!).

Cheers,

Sam.

Thanks for the information. I haven't put the RDA7934S on the front yet (bought them for $90 so I might lean towards the new design for everything.

Is the new design and materials that RDA are beginning to use better than the old in terms of durability? Less rust?

Are there different part numbers? Cost differences? And last question, when will they be available?

Thanks very much,

Sam.

Thats pretty cheap for the fronts i reckon the best bet would be to have rears made for you as it will work out cheaper but the new style of rotor is curved slotted and dimpled and is better for rust as they have a dry grey coat on them for rust prevention and only the area wherethe brake pad runs will wear. Rotor price is about $290 for 2x front 322mm and 2 x 303mm rears opposed to rear old slots at $165 so not much difference really.
The new style is available now and the old style takes about a week or so to do.

Thanks for answering all of my questions Matt. Sounds like I shouldn't have jumped the gun and bought the old style rotors for the front! The new ones sound much better.

So for 4 rotors and pads, I'd be looking at around $465 delivered (if my calculations are right).

One last question: I've just had my car serviced (within 1000kms), and they put new rear pads in, are they new enough to not be a problem with new rotors (I'm no racer).

What am I looking at for 4 rotors and pads for the front if the rears are ok?

Sam.

Sam it would be about the $400 mark as you could use the rear pads you have thanks.

G'day Matt. I am looking at getting the front rotors off SJFALK. Will they fit my BF2 XR8? If so could you please send me a PM with cost and postage to Toowoomba for the same style rear rotors. I will grab them off you.

Yes the 322mm rotors and having the series 2 BF XR8 you should have the rear solid 303mm disc correct? These rear rotors have to be slotted and would cost $165 plus $28 freight. And would take 1 to 2 weeks to get.
