Default AU Fairmont dash lights not working

The climate control, radio, mileage lights have all gone out, mileage and radio are fine if headlights are off. I have been told it something to do with a Dimmer Mode???..but he didn't know how to reverse it. It has happened b/4 and fixed its self..but not this time..brought the car from a dealer "with log books" until I opened the glove box and no manuals#$%%@@#, anyone able to help get my dash visible again?
Thanks
Peter

Hi Levarre

Move the lever beside the headlamp switch (On left side - Its a small knob) up and hold. Not to the click - that will turn interior lamps on.

Hold up until desired level is acheived.

Thanks,

Zlcrazy

If that doesn't work, then it may be a blown taillight fuse =)

Hi.

I have same problem, including the gear lights in the console, but its not the dimmer (the dimmer works on the climate display and oddometer) and its not either of the instrument cluster fuses [2 and 20, if I remember correctly]).

V3RSAC3 mentioned the taillight fuse but that [15?] also is not blown. Why would that be envolved anyway?

Any clues? Is there a connector somewhere which may have separated or other possible cause to investigate?

Cheers.

Stuart.:

Hi, I think you have posted this in the wrong section.. I think you should take it to a motor mechanic..this does not sound right could be a fuel injector problem, but it wont be doing your motor any good!
