Yep, I had a x flow straight 6 in my XC- many people assumed it was a bent 8 but although it was a noisy and lumpy engine (usually due to at least 1 cyl not firing at any given time!) I put it down to ignorance.....having said that, a straight 6 will always sound more grunty than a V formation- possibly due to firing order and time of exhaust exit versa detonation (long crank versus opposing cylinder formation?

Sorry! that makes sense to me but Ive had a bit of Xmas cheer! :hihi:
